Fathers Day Celebration

Fathers day comes once a year, but we can always celebrate our dads. We show our gratitude towards them on this joyous day. It is a special day to celebrate fathers and fatherhood. It is a celebration on the third Sunday of June in many countries around the world, including the United States. On this day, we have the opportunity to show appreciation and gratitude to our fathers. Also to our grandfathers and all who play a fatherly role.

The history of Father’s Day can be said to be around the early 1900s in the United States. Sonora Smart Dodd, who is the daughter of a Civil War veteran, who was a single father. She had the idea for Father’s Day. That way honoring her father. She put in hard work to make the day a national holiday and finally a success in 1972. President Richard Nixon signed a proclamation stating that the third Sunday in June be Father’s Day.

Celebrating Fathers Day

Most people have a celebration on Father’s Day. A time to get together and honor the person that has been their role model and bread maker of the family as well. The person who in time would have to guide you in the right direction, if you seem to be going the wrong way. The one who loves you above all things and would whatever it takes to help you out. Some people like to give gifts such as ties, shirts, or tools, but the important thing is to share time together. Spend quality time with your father and show him how much you appreciate him.

But you must remember that not only biological Fathers are honored on Father’s Day. You need to do so to all those who have been fatherly figures in your life. This can include those who are stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, or mentors who have also been part of your life that have giving you support and guidance. It is important to tell them you appreciate them for all the special and positive impact they have provided all your life.

What if Your Father is Gone?

Even though, you no longer have your Dad, Father’s Day is a time when you remember him. Especially if your Father was your best friend. Losing a Father can be very hard, but you have a day to think about him. It is important to remember the good times and the bad. Because everything is part of our lives whether good or bad. Everyone’s situation is different, so there is absolutely no right or wrong way to celebrate and feel on Father’s Day. It is okay to take the time to reflect on your feelings and remember your loved ones in your own special way.

Appreciate your Father and Father figures every day of the year, but know that we do have a special day to remember them if they are gone and still with us. Whether you go visit him at the Cemetery or their own home just be happy that you know your Father.

Obviously, Father’s Day is a special day to honor and love fathers and fatherly figures in our lives. You never know when it would the last time you see them. Please do the best possible thing not to hold any grudges. Show you love just like they have either done or did not really know how to show it. Maybe they did in their own way, but you probably did not see it. You don’t need to wait for Fathers Day to show your gratitude and support for them. I bet they will be happier for you doing it. They have probably made many sacrifices for us to get us to where we are today. It does not matter the way you celebrate just spent some quality time with your Father or Father figures.
