Everyone has a favorite travel destination. Some even have two or more. I will be focusing on the favorite which is located in Mexico and actually very popular among various ethnic groups. I love to travel, but sometimes even if I want to travel; life gets in the way. But when I actually go it is all worth the wait. I will be talking about my favorite travel destination and hope you will love it too. My goal is to get you to travel to this destination at least once in your life, that is, if you have not been there already. Like I said before it is very popular.
One of the best things I like about traveling is that you get to stay in some beautiful hotels with great views in some cases. Especially if you get a room where you can get the view of the water. I can stay looking out the window all night just taking in the beauty. And sometimes I even go and swim for hours in the pool. It is a feeling of freedom, nothing to worry about and relaxation.
My Best Travel Destination in Mexico
Like I said before, my best destination is in Mexico. My very favorite is Puerto Vallarta. Ever since one of my sisters and I decided to travel to Mexico to take our Maternal Grandmother back home, we were hooked. We made several trips after that. We even bought a timeshare. I will tell you all about that first trip to Puerto Vallarta. When we arrived at Mama Juanita’s house, grandmas nickname, we wanted to go to Puerto Vallarta, but the family would not let us go by ourselves. My Mama Juanita said that she also wanted to go and could visit her sister while there. She only said that so we could go to PV.
We started our trip on the bus. It took about 7 hours to get there, but before PV to stopped at Mama Juanita’s sisters house. The following day we headed to PV of course on the bus. This trip took about 4 hours to finally get to the destination. And when we arrived all we could do was go eat, walk around for about an hour and we had to catch the bus to take us back. It was such a short trip that my sister and I had to go back. And we did the following year with another sister of ours.
Finally got to experience Puerto Vallarta
The following year is when the three of us really got to experience Puerto Vallarta. It was beautiful and I fell in love with the beach and the pool areas. It is a tranquil town and it just seems like everything you need is right there. The food is great and so many resorts which you can have a choice of where you want to stay. We went to some excursions to get to know everything they offer. The resorts have all the activities they offer and you can select one or two every day. You are picked up at the hotel and dropped off at the same location, so no need to go around looking for where you are going to be picked up.
For those of you that like the night life you have choices on some incredible nightclubs. The music is enjoyable and you get to meet lots of people. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really loved the atmosphere in Puerto Vallarta all through the town. You have many choices for whatever you like to do most. Safe travels and hope you get to go some day soon and experience it all.
Planning for the trip
In order to plan for your trip, you need to decide if you want to go in a group or just on your own. If with a group, there are some travel agencies that actually do package deals. You go with a group of people and stay together for most of the trip. The same if you want to go on your own. A travel agent can plan your whole trip in advance. That way you will not be alone and you will be guided by a professional who really knows all the ins and outs of Puerto Vallarta. They will show you and tell you about some history of every place you visit.
And then there are those like me, who just buy the flight. When we arrive at Puerto Vallarta, we just hop on a taxi and the driver takes us to the resort that we mention. We kind of have an idea of which resort because we did our homework before traveling to the destination. Then we ask someone at the front desk for a list of activities. We make our plans for each day and enjoy every minute of our vacation. Especially the pool area.
Best Memories of my travel destination
Now to talk about the best memories of visiting Puerto Vallarta for the first time ever. My sister and I will always remember that first trip to Puerto Vallarta with our Grandmother. She was a real treat to have gone with us just so we can get a chance to see and enjoy PV, even if it was a very short sightseeing trip. She did it for us so we could go to the town. Something that will always stay in our minds is that green bag we had to help her carry. She had everything in there and believe me when I say it was the most heaviest bag I had ever carried. Whenever she or one of us needed something, all she did was pull it out of the bag. It seemed that everything we needed was always there, just like magic. That bag started with us in Chicago and went with us on our adventure to visit Puerto Vallarta.
