First of all, Welcome to our online school for our children called Brainfood Academy. Here you will find some helpful items to make your decision if this will be a great fit for your student.
We have some incredible teachers and amazing curriculums for every Student that attends any grade level. I have created a guide to understand Brainfood Academy where you can find what you need to start this learning online. You can find some guidelines for students who can be part of this incredible private school. This curriculum is also great for Military Families living outside the US.

Things that are needed:
Obviously, there will be a lot of information, just take it slow till you understand fully what things you need to join a private or public school. With a guide to understand Brainfood Academy, my objective is that the information will make it easier for you to select our Academy.

Here at Brainfood Academy, since we are a private school, we are not as strict as other mortar schools. Another great thing about our school is that if ever you want to leave our institution, you will have all the requirements for your student to attend any public school in the US.
Is Kindergarten Required: Guide To Understand Brainfood Academy
Students are not required to attend Kindergarten, due to government regulations. Each state has the option to make their own regulation about Kindergarten. Although because of education reform, there are situations where it is needed. Such as working parents and other financial situations mandates that states at least offer in each school district a Kindergarten class.
Kindergarten must be a class in all public school systems in the US. However, students do not need to take that class. Attendance to school is a must for all children between the ages of 7 and 16, as well as ages 5 or 6 if they are part of a public school.

Obviously since regulation left the states to decide if children need to attend Kindergarten, some states did in fact opted to make it mandatory as a requirement for graduation and academic completion. The rest of the states, require the children to take a test to show academic status before even entering the First grade.

Vaccines and Immunization for Schools: Guide To Understand Brainfood Academy
If you attend a public school, it is a requirement to have your vaccines and immunization records updated when you enter certain grades. As a matter of fact, most private schools require this as well. Since we are an online school, this is not really necessary. But we are also a private school and parents and students have the option to transfer out anytime to attend another facility. Therefore, students who do leave this School must show their updated vaccine and immunization records.
Like everything there are some exemptions in most states. Some of the reasons that you can be exempt is for religion, special circumstances and other conditions. This link will help you discover these exemptions.

First step to Get started:
In order to see the programs in Brainfood Academy, you need to open a Parent account. It is free to set up and you will be able to see all the information about our programs. But the tuition will begin as soon as you set up a student account. However, since the student account section is not available yet, you will get a notice when it is up for you to create.
